The role
You will be part of a dynamic team, leading and executing high-impact actuarial projects related to audits and advisory services regarding employee benefits, with a particular focus on local and international accounting standards and the valuation of employee benefits.
What you'll do
- Actuarial valuation of pension obligations and other employee benefit obligations under IAS 19 and other applicable accounting standards.
- Review and validation of actuarial calculations performed for financial statements and audit processes.
- Estimation and analysis of accounting items related to employee benefits, including:
- Service cost.
- Interest cost.
- Actuarial remeasurements recognized in OCI and in P&L.
- Actuarial gains and losses.
- Parameterization and review of demographic and financial actuarial assumptions.
- Review of actuarial valuation methodologies and techniques.
- Participation in projects related to:
- Occupational pension plans.
- Post-employment benefits.
- Retirement and seniority bonuses.
- Early retirement commitments, redundancies (EREs), and other long-term benefits.
- Analysis of the accounting impact of modifications, settlements, and reductions of defined benefit plans.
- Preparation and review of financial information and disclosures required by IAS 19.
- Support in actuarial audit processes and independent review of valuations.
- Participation in transformation, modeling, and automation projects of actuarial processes.
- Participation in the analysis of employee obligations in mergers and acquisitions.
What do you need to know?
What will you be able to do?
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related disciplines.
- Postgraduate degree or Master's in Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in actuarial consulting, auditing, or finance departments related to employee benefits.
- Experience in actuarial valuations of:
- Pension plans.
- Pension obligations.
- Post-employment benefits and other long-term benefits.
- Solid knowledge of IAS 19 Employee Benefits and its practical application in financial statements under IFRS, as well as local accounting standards (PGC).
- Experience in international accounting frameworks such as US GAAP (ASC 715) and local regulations related to pension obligations will be valued.
- Knowledge of social security vehicles, group insurance, and pension funds will be valued.
- Experience in programming and data analysis using tools such as Python, R, Power BI, or VBA will be positively valued.
- English level: B2.
- High analytical capacity and orientation toward solving complex problems.
- Teamwork, communication skills, and leadership ability.
- Ability to adapt and continuous learning in high technical demand environments.
