✅ You have at least 3 years of experience in tasks related to data quality, catalog, documentation, or controls.

✅ You have participated in Data Governance projects or initiatives working with a certain level of autonomy.

✅ You have solid knowledge of catalog, glossary, lineage, metadata, data quality, roles, and governance processes.

✅ You understand the data lifecycle and its implications for quality, traceability, compliance, and consumption.

✅ You have worked with Business, Data Stewards, or technical teams in resolving doubts and preparing documentation.

✅ You are familiar with privacy regulations such as GDPR and corporate standards related to data.

✅ You use advanced Excel and have knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint.

✅ You have had contact with Data Governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Talend, or similar.

✅ You have functional knowledge of Data & AI, quality, ingestion, transformation, and data control processes.

The role

🚀 Are you passionate about the world of data and want to help an organization manage its information in a more reliable, traceable, and useful way?

At MAPFRE España, we are looking to hire a Senior Data Governance Analyst to help us continue advancing in the maturity and professionalization of our Data Governance.

We are looking for a person with experience in quality, catalog, lineage, and metadata, capable of working autonomously and connecting Business needs with Data Stewards and technical teams.

What you'll do

Ensure the correct operational implementation of Data Governance practices, overseeing data quality, traceability, and compliance and contributing to the improvement of processes, controls, and documentation.

🔹 Manage Data Governance activities: cataloging, functional documentation, metadata updates, and business glossary maintenance.

🔹 Participate in data quality processes, performing controls, analysis, validations, and indicator monitoring.

🔹 Analyze and document end-to-end data lineages, ensuring their traceability and identifying possible gaps or inconsistencies.

🔹 Apply Data Governance policies, standards, and processes, collaborating with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Business, and technical teams.

🔹 Participate in Data Governance initiatives, contributing improvements to processes, methodologies, and ways of working.

🔹 Prepare reports and evidence for audits, compliance reviews, and Data Governance committees.

🔹 Provide support to Business and technical teams on matters related to definitions, quality rules, policies, lineage, and controls.

🔹 Collaborate on data culture initiatives, supporting communication, training, and awareness actions.
