Requirements

What we're looking for

Experience: At least 10 years of demonstrable experience in the technical management of specialty tomatoes under plastic (greenhouse).
Agricultural management: Proven experience in the direction and operational management of large-scale horticultural farms.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and lead field teams effectively.
Analytical skills: Real and demonstrable experience in preparing campaign forecasts and harvest projections.

Education & certifications

Education: Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Technical Agricultural Engineering, or an equivalent technical profile backed by extensive professional experience.

The role

At Paul Marlex, we are seeking a Senior Agricultural Director for an important horticultural company in the Almería area.

What you'll do

Comprehensive crop management: Supervise and optimize the development of the farms in all their phases, ensuring the strict quality standards of our specialty tomatoes.
Plant nutrition and health: Design, schedule, and supervise nutritional preparations, as well as prevention plans and phytosanitary treatments. We already have teams in charge of this planning and execution, but we need them to be overseen by this profile.
Cost and yield control: Monitor and optimize production costs, with thorough analytical control of the personnel costs assigned to each specific crop task.
Campaign forecasts: Prepare production estimates, cycle planning, and analytical forecasts to ensure commercial targets are met.
Team leadership: Coordinate, motivate, and lead field staff and farm managers, fostering an efficient and collaborative working environment.
