What we're looking for

Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical office, bidding department, or project engineering, in any sector.
Knowledge of cost estimation and budget preparation.
Advanced use of Excel and ERP/CRM tools.
B2 level of English; Basque is a plus.

The role

We are looking for a Bid Engineer to join our commercial-technical department. You will be the key link between the client and our engineering and production areas: you will convert customer needs into competitive technical and economic proposals. If you enjoy combining the technical side with a business vision, this offer is for you.

What you'll do

Analyze request for quotation (RFQ, tender documents, technical specifications) from national and international clients.
Define the technical solution and prepare the complete technical-economic proposal: scope, planning, budget, and conditions.
Calculate costs and margins in coordination with purchasing, production, engineering, and subcontractors.
Request and compare offers from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify technical, economic, and contractual risks for each project and propose how to mitigate them.
Participate in technical and commercial meetings with clients, clarifying doubts and negotiating scopes.
Follow up on submitted bids and collaborate in closing orders.
Hand over the awarded project to the execution team with all associated documentation.
Keep cost databases and historical bids up to date.
