Melia Hotels International is looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team at Torre Melina A Gran Melia

MISSION:Organize, execute, and supervise the management of personnel administration for their hotels following Meliá Hotels International policies and procedures, with the aim of efficiently fulfilling the labor obligations generated in the employment relationship.

What you'll do

  • Support the HR Manager in performing the 2 monthly rolling forecasts by analyzing the social cost for the remainder of the year for the hotels included within the operations center.
  • Analyze contractual feasibility: Impact on the social cost of new hires or rehires according to the Budget.
  • Perform hiring and contractual modifications: Receive, consult, manage, and organize contractual movements (hires, rehires, terminations, changes of data, organizational changes, leave/reinstatement, early retirements, retirements, etc.) of the collaborators in the operations center management divisions.
  • Guarantee the correct use of personnel administration tools.
  • Receive, manage, register, and control the correct amount of monthly payroll supplements.
  • Control the documentation of judicial withholdings and the correct deduction in the payroll.
  • Manage, organize, and control payroll annex payments.
  • Ensure the correct amounts for settlements and the transfer of payment.
  • Manage, follow up on, and control absences with an impact on Social Security and Payroll (Common illnesses, work accidents, occupational diseases, maternity, etc.).
  • Control and maintain the required documentary archive: Contracts, Absenteeism, Settlements, Judicial Withholdings, Payment Incidents, Occupational Risk Prevention, LOPD, Model 145).
  • Advise the operations center or hotel management regarding personnel administrative management.
  • Assist and support the operations center HR Manager in necessary areas.
  • Advise and communicate to department heads (operations center or hotel) regarding personnel administration matters.
  • Coordinate and ensure, together with the Department Head, the correct recording of the workers' daily working day according to local legislation and the control systems available in the workplaces.
  • Is familiar with national labor legislation and applies the Collective Agreement of their province/country as applicable. They rely on Labor Relations/external law firms for daily inquiries from collaborators regarding labor matters in case of doubt.
  • Execute labor conflict investigation processes between collaborators according to local legislation and following Labor Relations guidelines.
  • Under the guidance of Labor Relations/external law firm, attend to labor inspections in the hotels, as well as attend summons, preparing and gathering the requested documentation.
  • Following instructions from Labor Relations, they are responsible for completing necessary documents and letters in processes of employment contract terminations, disciplinary regimes, leaves of absence,...
  • Process documentation for judicial files, Labor Inspections, Social Security, contentious-administrative files, labor audits..
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations in the collection of documentation and data in workforce restructuring processes, ensuring correct communication with employees and execution of the corresponding measures.
  • (SPAIN) Supports the HR Manager with the management of the Works Council in the Workplaces and complies with the corresponding obligations: attendance at periodic meetings together with Management, performance and coordination of union elections in the hotels, delivery of mandatory information. Informs Labor Relations of the composition of the Hotel Committees and the performance of union elections, involving them in the inquiries made and any topic that arises in meetings outside of the ordinary.
  • (INTERNATIONAL) Supports the identification of external law firms according to the country in coordination with Labor Relations.
  • (INTERNATIONAL) Is the contact person for union presence in the Workplaces and complies with the corresponding obligations according to the country. Informs Labor Relations of union communications that arrive at the centers as well as any topic that arises in meetings outside of the ordinary.
