What you'll do

Reporting to the Project Leader of the division, you will manage the mechanical maintenance area. The selected person will actively participate in the management of mechanical maintenance of critical production facilities, contributing to the improvement of reliability, availability, and safety of equipment, as well as to the development of continuous improvement projects.

The first year will be for learning the area, and from the second year onwards, you will coordinate the team. Main responsibilities:

  • Support the execution and monitoring of preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance work.
  • Analyze breakdowns and technical incidents, identifying root causes and defining corrective actions.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve equipment reliability and availability.
  • Collaborate in the planning and coordination of scheduled shutdowns and extraordinary actions.
  • Supervise work carried out by contractor companies, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and deadline standards.
  • Participate in the definition and updating of maintenance procedures and work standards.
  • Manage and control spare parts and materials needed for maintenance operations.
  • Promote technical improvements in equipment, facilities, and work methods.
  • Participate in projects for the modification and improvement of mechanical installations.
  • Use maintenance management tools (SAP PM or CMMS systems) to track work orders and indicators.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety regulations within your area of responsibility.
  • Provide support to the maintenance manager and assume certain coordination functions in their absence.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a profile with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar technical training, and with at least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

  • Experience in mechanical equipment maintenance in production environments.
  • Valuable experience in steel, metallurgy, energy, automotive, paper, cement, or heavy industry.
  • B2 English level desirable



Technical knowledge:

  • Industrial mechanics.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Rotating equipment, bearings, and transmissions.
  • Interpretation of drawings and technical documentation.
  • Breakdown analysis and reliability.
  • RCA, AMFE/FMEA methodologies or similar.
  • SAP PM or maintenance management systems.
