The role

A major company in the chemical sector is looking for a Shift Supervisor to lead operations at the Barcelona plant, supervising production processes in industrial environments and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in rotating shifts.

What you'll do

Supervise and manage plant operations in shifts (including weekends and holidays)
Coordinate and lead the production team, resolving chemical process incidents
Control facilities and ensure the proper functioning of production processes
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations
Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality Control to ensure operational continuity
Manage the consumption of raw materials and report procurement needs
Supervise compliance with regulations by external personnel
Prepare production and incident reports for the Plant Manager
Drive improvements in processes, efficiency, and automation
Ensure order, cleanliness, and operational discipline in the plant

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

Education: Higher Level Vocational Training Certificate or Advanced Vocational Training Certificate in Chemical Processes, Laboratory, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
Ability to work three shifts (morning, afternoon, and night).
Experience in chemical industrial environments and team management
Knowledge of plant operations: startups, shutdowns, consignments
Ability to make decisions in operational situations and resolve incidents
Leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of Excel (intermediate level) and Office environment
Previous experience in the laboratory and quality control is a plus
Technical knowledge of English is a plus
Previous experience as an industrial chemical plant operator will be a plus
