The role

We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Technician to contribute to the development and optimization of the supply chain, managing strategic purchases and strengthening relationships with national and international suppliers.

What you'll do

Reporting directly to General Management, the selected candidate will assume the following responsibilities:

Manage the purchase of strategic materials and components for the company.
Negotiate economic conditions, delivery times, and supply agreements with national and international suppliers.
Develop and approve new suppliers, especially in low-cost markets.
Conduct periodic visits to suppliers for audits, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
Manage a significant volume of purchases within categories related to metallic materials and industrial processes.
Analyze costs, savings opportunities, and continuous improvement within the purchasing area.
Collaborate closely with the Production, Engineering, and Management departments to guarantee the supply and quality of materials.
Manage and keep supplier and purchasing information up to date through the corporate ERP.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

Previous experience in Purchasing positions within industrial environments.
Experience managing the purchase of metal and metallic raw materials in high volumes.
Knowledge of processes associated with metal, surface treatments, and machining (grinding, bluing, steel treatments, among others).
Experience in negotiation with national and international suppliers.
Essential proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision.
Medium - high level of English for communication with international suppliers.
Advanced level of Excel.
Availability to travel approximately between 15% and 20% of the time.
