The role

At Mur&Partners, we are looking for a Facilities Project Coordinator for a consolidated business group that is a leader in the Facility Management sector.

Reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Manager, the mission of this role will be to coordinate, plan, and perform the comprehensive monitoring of renovation and installation projects, guaranteeing their correct execution from the design and contracting phase through to commissioning and final delivery. Their objective will be to ensure compliance with the technical, economic, quality, and planning requirements established for each project.

What you'll do

  • Plan and monitor renovations, rehabilitations, and space adaptation or redefinition projects, updating the schedule, controlling milestones and deadlines, and identifying deviations and corrective measures.
  • Coordinate project execution with construction companies, subcontractors, installers, suppliers, technical management, engineering firms, architecture, the client, and internal Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate and supervise the correct integration of the building's general installations (LV, Fire Protection, HVAC/climate control, water/plumbing, sanitation, telecommunications, security, BMS/home automation, among others), identifying possible interferences with architecture and structure.
  • Review and interpret plans, reports, measurements, specifications, and technical documentation, checking compatibilities and managing technical inquiries, modifications, and updated documentation. The position is oriented towards technical coordination and monitoring, not building design.
  • Perform site visits and on-site monitoring to check progress, quality of execution, and compliance with planning, identifying incidents and following up until their resolution.
  • Perform the economic monitoring of projects, including budgets, measurements, certifications, offer comparisons, extras, contradictions, and changes in scope.
  • Collaborate in purchasing and contracting processes by requesting and analyzing offers, supporting awards, monitoring orders, and controlling critical materials or equipment.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and executed works comply with the project, regulations, and client specifications, coordinating the resolution of punch lists and non-conformities and working with OHS managers and other relevant interlocutors.
  • Manage changes requested during the project, analyzing and communicating their technical, economic, and schedule impact.
  • Coordinate site meetings and prepare minutes, progress reports, and monitoring charts, communicating risks, deviations, pending decisions, and the status of actions; perform periodic reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Manager.
  • Coordinate the testing and commissioning of installations, as well as the monitoring of legalizations, inspections, and the resolution of incidents prior to delivery.
  • Manage the closing and delivery of projects, ensuring the collection and updating of as-built plans, manuals, certificates, warranties, equipment documentation, and punch lists, as well as updating information in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and space management systems (CIFM/Archibus).
