What we're looking for

Education: Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering, Electronics, telecommunications or Higher Degree in Industrial Automation and robotics, Electronics, telecommunications
Good knowledge of PLC programming: SIEMENS Step 7, SIEMENS TIA Portal, SIEMENS Safety
Good knowledge of HMI programming: SIEMENS WinCC and Wonderware Intouch
Availability to travel for commissioning at the customer's site, mainly in EUROPE (approximately 60% of the time)
Languages: Spoken and written English. Spoken and written German (highly valued).
Driver's license and own vehicle.

The role

From the P&PD engineering department (ATS Global), we are managing the selection process for an industrial automation engineer for one of our clients based in Badalona.

Job mission: Programming and commissioning of PLC/HMI for automated installations.

What you'll do

Main objectives: To carry out the tasks within their scope of competence to successfully complete, both on time and in quality, the automation projects assigned to them.

Analyze customer requirements
List requirements and ensure their compliance in the software project
List the tasks into which the software project is subdivided
Plan the completion date of the tasks and track progress
Present task status/progress reports to the department manager
Inform department and project managers of possible deviations in progress with sufficient notice to be able to take corrective measures.
Identify customer requests that may be considered cost overruns and assess their impact on the project.
PLC and HMI programming
Draft user, operation, and training manuals.
Draft technical documentation associated with the project.
Commissioning at the customer's site
Technical assistance on-site and/or telephone assistance in the event that the customer/project has contracted it
Industrial automation automotive sector:

o Robotized sheet metal lines (welding/handling)

o Robotized painting lines (underbody sealing, interior sealing, soundproofing, anti-corrosion, paint quality control, …)

How you'll work

Monday- Thursday 8.30 - 13.00, 14.00 to 18.00 Friday; 8.30 to 14.00

Flexibility to cover 8 hours daily, starting from 7.30. Teleworking option adjusted to project needs (documentation and offline phase)
Work based on commissioning, which may be on weekends or holidays.
