The role

From the P&PD engineering department (ATS Global), we are managing the selection of a Subcontracting Manager to work for a company located in Gijón (Asturias) dedicated to the execution of EPC projects.

The selected person will be responsible for managing purchasing/subcontracting processes (mainly assembly) for the client's projects, in a global context, with the objective of ensuring the established scopes and deadlines, with the necessary quality and safety levels. They will also provide support in site purchasing.

What you'll do

To this end, they will carry out the following functions:

Study markets to identify potential suppliers/subcontractors
Lead the request for quotation processes to potential suppliers/subcontractors, centralizing internal and external communications relating to the process.
Monitor the progress of receipt of quotations (RFQ)
Perform documentary records of the offers
Perform the analysis, evaluation, and tabulation of the offers. Verification of technical conditions to ensure the homogeneity of the offers.
Identify opportunities for savings and optimization in purchasing/subcontracting
Perform global technical-economic analyses of suppliers/subcontractors
Carry out the negotiation process for prices and the rest of the commercial conditions until the closing of the order/subcontract, placing special emphasis on the company's ethical and conduct codes.
Establish and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers/subcontractors that lead to achieving the best prices and the economic objectives of the projects.
Identify risks and opportunities
Prepare and draft orders/subcontracts and formalize their clauses (ERP).
Manage the signing of orders/subcontracts.
Monitor orders
Issue purchasing/subcontracting reports
