Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract: Fixed-term contract (12 months duration from the start).

Previous Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounts payable (AP) within the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, preferably in the professional services sector and in high-volume transactional and multi-currency environments.

Languages: Fluent command of Spanish and English (essential for daily liaison with EMEA).

Technical Knowledge: Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, solid understanding of VAT application in invoicing and previous experience working with automated invoice approval workflows.

Desired Skills: High attention to detail, ability to prioritize autonomously, excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to new processes and management systems.

Accounts Payable Management: Agility and precision in processing all supplier invoices and transactions for Spain and Portugal through the Emburse tool.

General Accounting and Costs: Ensuring the correct posting of invoices to the General Ledger (GL), assigning the corresponding cost centers or balance sheet accounts and guaranteeing re-invoicing to projects/clients where applicable.

Compliance and Internal Control: Ensuring strict compliance with the company's internal policies and SOX regulations, obtaining the required approvals before formalizing each transaction.

Stakeholder and Supplier Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact for the professional and efficient resolution of accounting issues with external suppliers and internal departments.

Payments and Reconciliations: Providing support in payment executions, reviewing creditor reports and performing periodic reconciliation of key supplier accounts.

Ad Hoc Financial Support: Collaborating in cross-functional tasks within the finance department according to the team's needs.
