About the role

At RDT we continue to grow and we are looking to incorporate a Quality Checker with experience in dimensional and geometric verification of metal parts.

We are looking for a rigorous, detail-oriented person with experience in dimensional control, blueprint interpretation, and quality assurance in an industrial environment.

What you'll do

  • Dimensional and geometric verification of metal parts.

  • Interpretation of technical blueprints, tolerances, and specifications.

  • Use of measuring and control equipment:

    • Caliper

    • Micrometers

    • Comparators

    • Gauges

    • Height gauges

    • Coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and/or measuring arms

  • Performing inspections during receiving, in-process, and final product stages.

  • Preparing inspection records and reports.

  • Detecting and communicating non-conformities.

  • Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve issues.

  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

  • Technical training in mechanical manufacturing, machining, quality, or similar fields.

  • Previous experience as a quality checker in an industrial environment.

  • Solid knowledge of:

    • Metrology

    • Dimensional verification

    • Geometric tolerances (GD&T)

    • Blueprint interpretation

  • Proficiency in using manual measuring tools and coordinate measuring machines.

  • Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or precision machining sectors is valued.

  • Experience with the EN9100 standard is valued.
