What we're looking for
- We are looking for a person with experience in Generative Artificial Intelligence and a special interest in understanding how models work, how to compare them, and how to decide which technology is most suitable for each use case.
- It will be important to provide technical judgment to design tests, interpret results, and convert them into recommendations that help make decisions regarding the evolution of our AI solutions.
- You must stay up to date on the evolution of the Generative AI ecosystem and be able to analyze new capabilities, trends, and emerging technologies and assess their applicability within the organization.
- Additionally, we are looking for a person with a medium-term vision, capable of identifying relevant trends and helping to define how Generative AI capabilities should evolve, with the ability to connect emerging technological capabilities with real business needs
- Knowledge / SkillsExperience in evaluation, benchmarking, and validation of Generative AI models and solutions
- Experience defining metrics, benchmarks, and evaluation frameworks to compare AI solutions.
- Knowledge of RAG architectures, advanced information retrieval, and multi-model strategies
- Experience in monitoring and analyzing model performance in production environments
- Knowledge of Python and tools oriented toward experimentation, evaluation, and results analysis
- Analytical capacity, interest in applied research, and enthusiasm for exploring new technologies
- Good level of English.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrable experience in evaluation, testing, or validation of AI models and solutions.
Nice to have
- Postgraduate training in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related disciplines will be valued
- Experience in RAG architectures, benchmarking, and technological innovation processes will be valued.

Vacancy: Data Scientist & AI ROLE
At Banco Sabadell, we are looking for our future Generative AI Innovation Specialist.
You will join Banco Sabadell's Generative AI Center of Excellence, an innovation environment where you will explore, evaluate, and drive the artificial intelligence capabilities that will shape the future of the organization.
You will be a key figure in identifying new technological opportunities, collaborating with technical and business teams to transform emerging trends into real solutions with impact.
You will act as an internal reference in Generative AI, helping to guide strategic decisions regarding models, architectures, and next-generation capabilities.
You will work firsthand with the most advanced technologies on the market, participating in initiatives related to intelligent agents, multimodal capabilities, Small Language Models (SLM), extended context models, and technological sovereignty strategies.
Your contribution will be decisive in defining the evolution of Banco Sabadell's Generative AI strategy in the coming years, identifying and validating those technologies capable of generating a tangible impact on customer experience, operational efficiency, corporate productivity, and business transformation.
Applies knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and programming to analyze and interpret business data. Their functions include the collection and processing of data from various sources, exploratory analysis to identify patterns and trends, and the creation of predictive models using machine learning techniques, among others. Their contributions and data interpretation guide decision-making and the strategic planning of the Entity.
What you'll do
- Lead proof of concept and technological pilot tests on new Generative AI capabilities to evaluate their technical feasibility and adoption potential
- Explore new Generative AI technologies and assess their application in real use cases within the Bank
- Define corporate methodologies for the evaluation, certification, and benchmarking of Generative AI solutions
- Design metrics and tests that allow for comparing models and evaluating aspects such as quality, precision, robustness, security, or cost
- Evaluate advanced architectures such as GraphRAG, Hybrid RAG, LongRAG, Agentic RAG, and Corrective RAG, as well as multimodal capabilities, long-context models, and Small Language Models
- Collaborate with business, architecture, development, security, and data governance teams to ensure the correct adoption of the evaluated capabilities
