The role
SEK Education Group is looking to incorporate a Mathematics Teacher to join its teaching team at SEK International School Catalunya.
What you'll do
To guide students in mastering mathematical concepts, fostering analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, and promoting rigorous, meaningful learning adapted to their needs.
Plan, develop, and deliver Mathematics classes in Secondary Education and the Diploma Programme (DP), in accordance with the curriculum and the center's guidelines.
Design learning sequences and experiences that allow students to develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and procedures.
Foster mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, analysis, and critical thinking.
Adapt teaching to the different learning needs and paces of the students.
Use different methodologies and educational resources to promote student understanding and participation.
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive, improvement-oriented feedback.
Participate in the standardization of assessment tasks and in learning monitoring processes.
Participate in department meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
Contribute to the continuous research, review, and improvement of the curriculum and the department's teaching programs.
Stay updated on the IB program guides taught at the center.
Collaborate with the teaching team, sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices.
Create an inclusive, collaborative, and motivating learning environment that promotes the progress of all students.
