Jira Architect

Our client, a company in the pharmaceutical sector, is looking to bring on a Jira Architect to participate in a short-term project oriented towards reviewing, designing, and optimizing their Jira environment.

The selected person will work with business, IT, quality, and project management teams to ensure that Jira is configured in a scalable, efficient manner that is aligned with the organization's operational, delivery, and compliance needs.

· Analyze the current Jira configuration, including projects, workflows, schemes, boards, permissions, notifications, automations, and integrations.

· Define a scalable, maintainable Jira architecture aligned with business and IT requirements.

· Design and optimize workflows for project management, IT delivery, change management, quality, or operations.

· Review issue types, custom fields, screens, permission schemes, notification schemes, and automation rules.

· Propose improvements in governance, standardization, nomenclature, administration, and best practices.

· Design dashboards and reports for project tracking, delivery performance, and visibility for management.

· Identify configuration risks, duplications, inefficiencies, or possible compliance gaps.

· Perform hands-on configuration when necessary.

· Advise on Jira best practices in regulated or validated environments.

· Document the recommended architecture, configuration standards, and implementation plan.

· Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.

· Perform knowledge transfer to internal Jira administrators or project teams.
