About the job
Role Overview
The SuccessFactors Solution Architect is responsible for designing and governing the overall integration architecture for SAP SuccessFactors and providing Employee Central (EC) functional support. This is a non-developer role with focus on architecture, process understanding, data modelling, and ensuring that SuccessFactors integrates seamlessly with the broader HR and enterprise landscape. The architect interacts with internal and external stakeholders and implementation partners, ensuring scalable, compliant, and future-proof solutions. This role also supports SuccessFactors Employee Central in the areas of business configuration, business rules, permissions, data loads and general support.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Architecture
- Support the end-to-end integration architecture for SuccessFactors and connected HR or enterprise systems.
- Focus on integration concepts, data flows, and interface specifications based on business and technical requirements.
- Ensure integration solutions follow best practices for security, performance, error handling, and monitoring.
- Maintain integration documentation, standards, and architectural guidelines.
SuccessFactors Employee Central Expertise
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Employee Central, including:
- Core HR processes (hire, termination, job changes, position management)
- Business configuration (data models, workflows, business rules, picklists)
- MDF objects and effective-dated data structures
- Provide functional guidance on EC configuration and its impact on integrations and downstream systems.
- Support data load activities (e.g., mass changes, cutover loads) by defining templates, validation rules, and data quality checks.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all integrated systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, IT, external vendors, and implementation partners to translate business needs into scalable solution designs.
- End-to-end responsibility from #Tech side during project phases such as blueprinting, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all integrations and EC configurations comply with data privacy, security, and audit requirements in close collaboration with the SAP Basis team
- Review functional and technical specifications, test plans, and integration test results.
- Maintain clear documentation of solution architecture, data flows, and key design decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a SuccessFactors Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or similar HRIS role.
- Deep knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central, including processes, configuration, business rules, and data structures.
- Strong understanding of the SuccessFactors data model and effective-dated data handling.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI or similar SAP middleware platforms.
- Ability to design integration concepts without performing hands-on development.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional SuccessFactors modules (e.g., Recruiting, Compensation).
- Familiarity with HR data governance, GDPR, and security best practices.
