Product Manager - Advanced Computing

Knowledge of the Cloud business

Market situation and main benchmarks (Hyperscalers, Neoscalers, European sovereign clouds, Supercomputing Centers).

As-a-service commercialization models, which allow customers to consume on a pay-per-use basis, reducing investment and accelerating innovation.

Deploy, operate, and evolve technology through automation, reducing operational times and errors.

High-level knowledge of the product and service catalog of Spanish and European competitors.

Technical skills

HPC/AI/QC platforms, comparative technology analysis, and requirements definition.

Knowledge of model Training/Fine-tuning, Inference, RAG, AI agents, A2A, MCP, and AI-as-a-Service platforms, including vector databases and agent frameworks.

State-of-the-art NVIDIA infrastructure (DGX, Grace Hopper, GB200/GB300, Rubin/Vera Rubin, NVLink, NVSwitch, Spectrum-X).

Virtualization including GPU Passthrough, NVIDIA vGPU/MIG, NUMA-aware scheduling, and alternative GPUs (AMD, Intel Gaudi, Groq, etc.)

HPC orchestration and job scheduling, including Slurm or equivalents, with GPU-aware and topology-aware scheduling.

MLOps tools and AI Platform Engineering, including model training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines.

Multi-tenant segmentation of infrastructure (compute, storage, network, and security), including IaaS environments (e.g., OpenStack), virtualization, containers, SDN, and microsegmentation;

Enterprise container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift) with GPU acceleration, RDMA, SR-IOV, and multi-tenant capabilities;

High-performance parallel storage (Vast, Weka, Netapp...).

AIOps (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, etc.)

To perform the role, the skills that would best fit the team and the project would be:

WHAT DO WE DO IN THE TEAM?

Telefónica has extensive experience offering cloud services to its B2B customers.

Telefónica offers its customers the commercial service "Telefónica Tech Cloud Platform" (hereinafter, TTCP), a proprietary cloud solution developed and evolved internally for more than 15 years.

The concept of Sovereign Cloud is an international concept, but it has special emphasis in the European Union, since the aim is to have autonomy and independence from supply and jurisdictions external to the EU.

On the other hand, Telefónica also offers the creation and management of Private Cloud environments for Enterprises, Public Administrations, Supercomputing Centers, and AI Factories. These environments include infrastructure for Traditional IT, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Accelerated Infrastructure for AI Inference and Training, and Quantum Computing (QC).

The creation and management of new types of advanced infrastructure require new technologies for accelerated computing, parallel processing storage, high-performance networks, and specific software for the segmentation and management of these new types of infrastructure.

Currently, many Advanced Computing environments are created on a project basis, building a tailored solution for each client. As a strategic objective, at Telefónica we aim to build a line of Products and Services that allows us to offer our clients higher-value, more cost- and time-efficient solutions.

The objective of this newly created Product Manager position is to capture the new business opportunity around advanced computing technologies, expanding the offering of our own Distributed Sovereign Cloud, and offering standardized solutions for Private Clouds for clients.

Experience

More than 4 years defining Value Propositions, identifying customer value points and differentiators against the competition in the technology sector.

Creation of documentation that defines the products and services to be marketed, in executive format.

Creation of Business Cases, considering cost structure, margin definition, and P&L.

Capabilities to assume integral responsibility for the products and services of the business area they will lead:

Product Strategy to capture business opportunities.

Define a catalog of standardized Products and Services.

Activities related to the launch and management of Telefónica's commercial channels.

Monitoring of results and lifecycle management to maintain commercialization, as well as evolution / associated roadmap.
