Wayra is Telefónica's Corporate Venture Capital initiative, focused on identifying, investing in, and scaling high-potential tech startups. From the VC Funds and Pre-M&A Investments area, we work on managing investment funds, analyzing strategic opportunities, and evaluating innovative companies that can contribute to the growth and transformation of the Telefónica Group.

What will your mission be? 🎯

You will be part of the VC Funds and Pre-M&A Investments team, collaborating in the analysis of investment opportunities, tracking Venture Capital funds, and evaluating innovative startups. Additionally, you will participate in automation and optimization projects of processes through artificial intelligence, contributing to strategic decision-making within Telefónica's innovation and investment ecosystem.

How will you contribute with your skills to the purpose of the scholarship? 💼

Provide support in the management and tracking of more than 10 Venture Capital funds in which Telefónica participates as an investor, ensuring the collection and periodic analysis of information.

Collaborate in the preparation of reports and presentations for financial and investment teams.

Participate in the automation of tracking and reporting models through Artificial Intelligence tools. Support the launch and execution of new Venture Capital funds actively managed by Telefónica. Conduct scouting and identification of startups with investment potential.

Collaborate in the analysis and due diligence processes of startups, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and preparation of investment memos.

Provide support in the search for investment opportunities for Íope Ventures, a fund specialized in Insurtech.

Participate in the analysis of investment opportunities linked to Pre-M&A initiatives and the Leadwind fund.

What other aspects do we value? 📚

Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.

Interest in Venture Capital, Corporate Finance, innovation, startups, and new technologies.

Previous participation in university associations, entrepreneurial projects, or activities related to investment and strategy.

Curiosity about Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.
