The role
🚀 Join the Polaris x Ucademy faculty of preparers
Are you preparing for the office skills exam for regional or state civil service exams, using Office 365 or LibreOffice? Collaborate remotely with Polaris x Ucademy.
💻 We are looking for Office Skills Trainers for civil service exams
Office skills are a decisive, and often eliminatory, test in administrative profile civil service exams. Each administration examines them in its own way: with different software packages, different versions, and different formats.
We want to build a faculty of trainers specialized in office skills for civil service exams, with a special focus on regional civil service exams.
🗺️ Special focus: regional civil service exams
We are especially looking for trainers who know the office skills test for the auxiliary and administrative corps of the autonomous communities, because that is where it changes the most:
The office suite: some communities examine Microsoft 365 and others LibreOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress, Base).
The version: some set a specific version of the program and others the latest available.
The format: theoretical-practical tests, case studies based on screenshots, or exercises in front of the computer.
For example, the Community of Madrid examines Windows and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and collaborative tools like Teams or SharePoint) with its own office skills test; the Xunta de Galicia and the Junta de Andalucía, on the other hand, examine LibreOffice. That is why we need trainers who know the test for each community in depth.
You do not need to know them all. We are looking for someone who thoroughly masters the test for their community, or several.
🧾 Two types of tests
📝 Multiple-choice office skills: questions about functions, menu paths, options, and shortcuts for each program, often with case studies based on screenshots.
🖥️ Practical office skills: real exercises with limited time or specific office skills tests.
Microsoft 365
Word · Excel · Access · Outlook · PowerPoint
Collaborative tools: Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
LibreOffice
Writer · Calc · Impress · Base
Common
Windows (10 and 11), file explorer, Internet, and basic computing
🏛️ Other exams for which we also seek experience
General State Administration (Auxiliary and Administrative)
Justice (Procedural and Administrative Processing)
Healthcare (Administrative Auxiliary and Administrative)
Railways (administrative areas of ADIF and Renfe)
City councils, provincial councils, and universities (for example, the Madrid City Council)
🌟 Who we are
At Polaris x Ucademy, we prepare for exams in a more digital, practical, and personalized way. We have already accompanied thousands of candidates and we have a clear goal: for 10,000 people to secure their position by preparing with us.
To achieve this, we are expanding our high-performance faculty of preparers.
We are very digital, but the human element is non-negotiable. Technology helps us teach better, and it is our preparers who provide knowledge, judgment, closeness, and support.
🔎 Who we are looking for
Office skills trainers for civil service exams, especially for regional auxiliary and administrative corps.
Civil servants with a permanent position who have passed the office skills test in their community and want to teach it.
Office skills instructors (Microsoft 365 or LibreOffice) with an interest in the world of civil service exams.
People who know how each tribunal asks questions: which version, which functions, and what type of case studies.
Those who know how to teach and guide: explaining step by step, detecting errors, and making what seems technical easy.
🎯 How you can collaborate
Depending on your profile and availability, you may participate in one or several projects:
Online classes on Microsoft 365 or LibreOffice, adapted to the test of each community.
Multiple-choice questions and screenshot case studies following the format of each tribunal.
Practical exercises with limited time and their correction.
Video solutions of official exams from previous calls.
Mock exams for the office skills test.
Student follow-up, short videos, diagrams, and shortcut guides.
🤝 How the collaboration works
This is not a full-time or part-time job. You will collaborate with Polaris x Ucademy through the provision of services in specific educational projects, compatible with your professional activity.
If you have a permanent position, we do not ask you to leave your job. We want you to put your experience at the service of other candidates in a flexible way.
🌍 100% remote
🕐 Schedules and availability to be agreed upon
📚 Projects and deliverables defined from the start
💰 Competitive compensation depending on the project and deliverables
Hiring process
We want to get to know you by teaching, not just by reading your CV. The process has three steps:
1. Profile review. In the application, you will answer some brief questions and send us a 1-minute presentation video. Record it with your phone, no complications: tell us who you are, which office suite you master, and which communities or exams you are accustomed to training for.
2. Validation contact. If your profile fits, we will contact you by call or in writing to resolve doubts, learn about your availability, and explain how we collaborate.
3. Trial class and interview. You will schedule your interview and, before the date, you will send us a recorded class of maximum 5 minutes: the explanation of office skills content or the commented resolution of several multiple-choice questions or a practical exercise, with supporting material created by you. You can record your screen if it is more comfortable for you. We are not looking for perfect production: we want to see how you explain and how you make the difficult simple.
If you master office skills for civil service exams and want to help others pass that test, we want to meet you.
