What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in design strategy or UX research fields.
Demonstrated experience defining and implementing a research strategy for product development, from prototyping through to supporting optimisation work.
Proven experience working end-to-end with UI designers and UX researchers to iterate designs based on research recommendations.
Experience operating with a collaborator-heavy team model, coordinating specialised contributors even where direct line management is limited.
Nice to have
Strong knowledge of user-centred design thinking and how to champion it across an organisation.
Education & certifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Design, or related field.
Languages
Full professional proficiency C1 in Spanish and English
The role
Define, lead and oversee the end-to-end UI/UX research-and-design strategy and operating model for Vueling's website and wider digital channels within E-commerce & Ancillaries, in accordance with user-centred design principles, the product development lifecycle (from prototyping to iterative improvement), cross-stakeholder requirements and the constraints of the low-cost model, in order to embed the voice of the user into product and interface decisions, maintain digital consistency, improve measurable experience health (e.g., customer satisfaction survey KPI) and ultimately drive revenue through better-performing digital experiences for Guests.
What you'll do
Define and implement UI/UX research strategies and methodologies appropriate to each phase of product development, from early prototyping through to research collaboration that supports A/B optimization testing.
Lead and oversee user research activities such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, field research and task-based user validation exercises.
Oversee the iterative working model between UI product designers and UX researchers so that designs are tested with users and refined based on research findings.
Analyse and synthesise research data in order to translate findings into actionable insights, recommendations and design suggestions for stakeholders at all levels.
Make the Design and Research teams AI-driven by embedding AI tools and practices into day-to-day workflows and identifying opportunities to redesign ways of working.
Stay up to date with UX research and design trends, tools and methodologies relevant to digital experience improvement.
Define and develop the overall strategy for the UI/UX Research and Design team as an integrated capability spanning UI product design and UX research.
