Requirements

What we're looking for

At least 5 years of experience in planning, management control, financial analysis, or reporting roles within the insurance sector.
Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS 17 accounting standards.
University degree in Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. Additional training in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or similar areas will be valued.
Strong analytical skills and experience in interpreting financial and business information to prepare reports and recommendations.
In-depth knowledge of the insurance business and its key management indicators.
Experience in handling, analyzing, and cross-referencing large volumes of data.
Knowledge of Python and experience in automating processes, reports, and dashboards.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models.
Ability to work cross-functionally with different areas, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in dynamic environments.
Advanced English proficiency and knowledge of SAP, Power BI, and/or SAS will be valued.

The role

What you'll do

You will be part of the Planning and Financial Analysis team, actively contributing to the definition, monitoring, and analysis of business performance in Spain.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Prepare, analyze, and monitor the budget for Aegon Group entities in Spain.
Analyze key commercial, financial, and operational KPIs, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Generate insights that support strategic business decision-making.
Drive automation and transformation of budgeting, management control, and reporting processes.
Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and quality of information.
