The role

Position Summary

What you'll do

The Key Account Trainee will support the Key Account Management team in the development and execution of strategic business plans for some of Alcon Vision Care's most important clients in Spain and Portugal. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in commercial strategy, strategic account management, business analytics, category management, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading healthcare company.

The person will work in close collaboration with the Key Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Professional Education, and Commercial Excellence teams, contributing to projects oriented towards business growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Support the preparation of business reviews with clients and strategic account planning through clear, data-driven insights regarding sales, market trends, customer KPIs, and business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer, product, distribution, market share, and commercial performance data to identify growth opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations for key accounts.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations that facilitate internal decision-making and strategic conversations with customers.
  • Participate in customer visits and business meetings alongside Key Account Managers, contributing to the follow-up of actions and gaining direct exposure to customer management and strategic account planning.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Professional Education, and Commercial Excellence teams to support customer initiatives and business execution.
  • Provide support to projects related to pricing, promotions, category management, forecasting, and commercial excellence, ensuring that insights are translated into concrete business actions.
  • Prepare materials and analysis for customer meetings, internal reviews, and commercial planning processes.

Experience

  • Previous internship experience or initial experience in commercial or business areas will be valued.
  • Experience working with data analysis tools will be valued.
