Instrumentation and Control Engineer

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in control, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
• Experience in designing control architectures for industrial or energy plants.
• Solid knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, SIS/ESD, IT/OT networks, and industrial communications.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, HART, among others.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations for instrumentation, control, functional safety, and industrial cybersecurity.
• Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• B2 level of English.

We are looking for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join one of our teams in Oviedo, Llanera or León. If you have solid experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, and you are passionate about technology and innovation, this is your opportunity to join a dynamic and challenging environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and optimization of industrial processes through the application of advanced instrumentation and control technologies, guaranteeing their efficiency, safety, and quality. Your role will be key to the success of the projects we participate in, collaborating closely with other departments and ensuring alignment with our clients' strategic objectives.

• Definition and development of industrial control architectures: DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, SIS, ESD, and auxiliary systems.
• Preparation and review of technical documentation: specifications, data sheets, control philosophies, signal lists, loop diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, communication schematics, and technical reports.
• Design and review of OT industrial networks, IT networks, structured cabling, and BMS systems. Integration of industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, HART, or other equivalent protocols.
• Coordination of interfaces between control systems, instrumentation, electrical systems, corporate IT networks, and supervision systems. Integration of industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, HART, or other equivalent protocols.
• Selection and specification of process instrumentation. Review of supplier and manufacturer documentation.
• Participation in technical comparisons, support for procurement, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up.
• Technical coordination with other disciplines: process, electrical, mechanical, piping, safety, IT, and operations. Application of industrial cybersecurity criteria in OT environments.
