Process Engineer (Power Plants)

• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Process Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Knowledge of international standards (ISO, ASME, API).
• Experience in optimizing combustion and power generation processes.
• Knowledge of process control systems (DCS, PLC).
• Technical English proficiency (B2 level or higher).
• Experience in preparing environmental impact studies.
• Availability to travel occasionally.

BETWEEN Group is looking for a Process Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. You will be responsible for optimizing and developing industrial processes, with a particular focus on cogeneration and biomass plants. Your work will be essential to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our operations. We are looking for a proactive professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

• Design, implement, and supervise industrial processes.
• Analyze the performance of existing plants and propose improvements.
• Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for new projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, operations, maintenance) on project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Develop and maintain technical process documentation (P&IDs, mass and energy balances, technical specifications).
• Research and apply new technologies to optimize processes.
• Participate in the commissioning of new facilities and the optimization of existing ones.
• Identify opportunities for energy and raw material savings.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and solve operational issues.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advances in process engineering, especially in sectors such as cogeneration and biomass.

• University degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years in similar roles.
• Knowledge and experience in the design and operation of industrial processes.
• Specific experience in cogeneration and/or biomass plants.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, etc.) and CAD design software.
• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Ability to interpret and generate process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Experience in project and team management.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Fluency in Spanish (native or bilingual).
