Simulation Systems Engineer

• Studies in Computer Engineering/Telecommunications Engineering or similar
• Minimum of one year of experience in similar roles
• Knowledge of industrial control systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) will be positively valued. Understanding of industrial communication networks and associated protocols and understanding of complex system architecture.
• Solid knowledge of Databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience in WPF Development and/or C# for interfaces and applications.
• Familiarity with virtualization environments. VMWARE
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python and/or C++, C.
• Experience in server maintenance and administration (Windows/Linux).
• B2 level of English.
• Driver's license and availability for occasional travel

We are looking for a Simulation Systems Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the fleet of Spanish nuclear power plants (5 facilities). This position is focused on guaranteeing the operability and reliability of complex simulation systems that replicate the behavior of nuclear power plants in real time.

The solution you will work on is based on a sophisticated architecture that integrates:

• Simulation Models: Executed on high-performance servers.
• Hardware-Software Integration: Connection of physical interfaces (hardware) with process simulation software, ensuring a faithful representation of operational reality.
• Common Architecture: The entire system functions in a unified and coordinated manner.

Guarantee the operation and availability of the simulation platform through the management of control systems, servers, and networks, ensuring the synchronization, integration, and correct performance of all components within the environment.

• Supervise and optimize the performance of simulation systems, including servers, hardware, and software.
• Guarantee the integration and connectivity of the simulation platform with industrial control systems (PLCs).
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure maximum system availability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents in real-time simulation environments.
• Coordinate the synchronization of the different components of the simulator to guarantee the precision and fidelity of the simulation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the implementation of improvements and new functionalities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and system configurations.

• You will have flexible start times between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
• Intensive working day every Friday of the year.
• Intensive working day during the three summer months.
