What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, including at least 3 years in BESS, power infrastructure, or energy project business development.
Native Spanish speaker with professional proficiency in English.
Strong understanding of the Spanish electricity market, grid connection processes, energy storage project development, and BESS technologies (PCS, BMS, EMS).
Proven ability to conduct project evaluation, manage commercial negotiations, and close complex energy projects.
Experience working for leading utilities, renewable developers, EPC contractors, or energy companies in Spain.
Direct involvement in utility-scale BESS projects exceeding 50MWh.
Established network within the Spanish energy sector, including utilities, developers, EPCs, and grid operators.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the development and sales of utility-scale BESS projects for Spainish clients. The role focuses on market expansion, strategic partnership development, project origination, and commercial execution within the rapidly growing energy storage sector.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development & Sales

What you'll do

Lead business development activities for utility-scale BESS projects (≥50MWh), including standalone storage, solar-plus-storage, and grid-side applications.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with utilities, project developers, EPC contractors, and other key stakeholders.
Conduct customer engagement, opportunity identification, commercial negotiations, and contract execution to achieve sales targets.

Project Development & Execution

Manage projects from opportunity identification through feasibility assessment, bid preparation, contract negotiation, and project delivery support.
Coordinate with technical and internal teams to ensure successful project execution, risk management, and timely payment collection.

Market Strategy & Customer Management

Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics within the Spanish energy storage sector.
Develop market entry, pricing, and bidding strategies to improve project win rates.
Maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for long-term cooperation and repeat business.
