It offers a value proposition of products and services tailored to each segment, assuming innovation as a strategic challenge and a differentiating trait of its culture. Its leading position in retail banking in Spain and Portugal allows it to play a key role in contributing to sustainable economic growth.

What projects do we develop?

The mission of the Recovery and Resolution Planning Office (hereinafter, ORR) is to coordinate and implement the requirements of two European authorities:

  • the European Central Bank, in reference to the Recovery Plan.
  • the Single Resolution Board (SRB, Single Resolution Board) in reference to resolution planning.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that the entity becomes more resilient to potential crises. To this end, the ORR develops transversal projects involving numerous departments of the entity and Group subsidiaries.

Working in ORR allows for obtaining a global vision of the entity, participating in initiatives related to business, capital, liquidity, risks, governance, and crisis management. Likewise, it offers the opportunity to collaborate with specialized teams from across the organization and participate in some of the Group's relevant regulatory exercises.

Said European authorities have increased information requirements in recent years and, in this context, the person joining will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Support in the coordination and management of the various projects and associated deliverables developed within the area to respond to the requirements of the authorities.
  • Collaboration on projects related to operational continuity in a resolution context, including the analysis of relevant services and processes, their interdependencies, and coordination with the various areas involved.
  • Preparation of the necessary material regarding the status and degree of progress of projects, to be shared with management and governance bodies, and specifically with the Recovery and Resolution Plans Committee.
  • Preparation and review of periodic resolution reporting, collaborating in the collection, analysis, and validation of the information necessary for its preparation.

Likewise, it is expected that the person will add value through the identification of improvement opportunities and the continuous optimization of the processes associated with these tasks.

The ORR team is distributed between the Barcelona (Avda. Diagonal) and Madrid (Paseo de la Castellana) offices.

Key Competencies

  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team and cross-functionally.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different areas of the entity.
  • Organizational capacity, rigor, and attention to detail in the handling of information.
  • Ability to prioritize and parallelize multiple projects with adjusted timelines.
  • Resilience and ability to adapt to changing environments.
