Steel Structures Construction Leader

From Catenon, we are supporting a leading EPC project contractor in the search for a Steel Structures Construction Leader with a technical profile to supervise and coordinate steel structure fabrication and assembly activities in offshore projects, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, execution schedules, and applicable safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the execution of steel block fabrication and assembly work according to engineering drawings and instructions.
- Coordinate and organize the work of own personnel and/or subcontractors assigned to the structures area.
- Monitor work progress, verifying performance, productivity, and schedule compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, as well as the company's internal procedures and regulations applicable to the offshore/marine sector.
- Control the proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in coordination meetings with engineering, planning, quality, and safety teams to resolve issues.
- Issue periodic reports on the area's progress status, needs, and issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in steel structure fabrication and assembly processes.

Requirements:
- Education as Technical Engineering / Higher Engineering in Structures, Naval, Mechanical, Civil, or similar.
- Experience supervising production in shipyards, naval construction, or offshore, preferably in steel structure projects.
- Demonstrable experience in block subdivision, fabrication, and assembly of large metal structures.
- Steel structural fabrication, assembly, and welding processes.
- Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Quality and safety regulations in naval/offshore construction.
- Technical English.

Desde Catenon, estamos apoyando a un Contratista líder de proyectos EPC en la búsqueda de un Líder construcción estructuras de acero con perfil técnico para supervisar y coordinar las actividades de fabricación y montaje de estructuras de acero en proyectos offshore, garantizando el cumplimiento de los planos de ingeniería, estándares de calidad, plazos de ejecución y normas de seguridad aplicables.

Responsabilidades:
- Supervisar la ejecución de trabajos de fabricación y ensamblaje de bloques de acero según los planos e instrucciones de ingeniería.
- Coordinar y organizar el trabajo del personal propio y/o de las subcontratas asignadas al área de estructuras.
- Hacer el seguimiento de avance de obra, verificando rendimientos, productividad y cumplimiento de plazos.
- Asegurar el cumplimiento de normas de seguridad y calidad, así como de los procedimientos internos de la compañía y normativas aplicables al sector offshore/naval.
- Controlar el uso correcto de materiales, herramientas y equipos.
- Participar en reuniones de coordinación con ingeniería, planificación, calidad y seguridad para resolver incidencias.
- Emitir reportes periódicos sobre el estado de avance, incidencias y necesidades del área.
- Contribuir a la mejora continua en procesos de fabricación y montaje de estructuras de acero.

Requisitos:
- Formación como Ingeniería Técnica / Ingeniería Superior en Estructuras, Naval, Civil, Mecánico o similar.
- Experiencia en supervisión de producción en astilleros, construcción naval u offshore, preferiblemente en proyectos de estructuras de acero.
- Experiencia demostrable en subdivisión de bloques, fabricación y ensamblaje de grandes estructuras metálicas.
- Procesos de fabricación, montaje y soldadura de acero estructural.
- Lectura e interpretación de planos de ingeniería.
- Normativas de calidad y seguridad en construcción naval/offshore.
- Inglés técnico.
