Steel Mill Quality Control

Supervise the daily production of the Steel Mill, analyzing billet samples according to the criteria established by the mini-company, to ensure the quality and quantity of the manufactured billet, approving its utility or rejecting it, all while complying with the quality, cost, deadline, productivity, and safety standards required by the organization. Maintain Order, Organization, and Cleanliness (OOL) in their area of responsibility.

Integrate Safety, Prevention, Environment, and Energy
Integrate the Safety, Prevention, Environment, and Energy System into the overall production process, in accordance with the Company's Preventive, Environmental, and Energy Policy, establishing objectives and lines of action to control risks and progressively improve working conditions.

01: Contribute to the performance of the Risk Assessment of the workstations in their area of responsibility
02: Ensure that the safety mechanisms of the machines function correctly and are used by all people (DECAP).
03: Attend training.
04: Ensure compliance with general and specific safety regulations for personnel/subcontractors in their area of responsibility.
05: Review Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and occasionally provide them.
06: Comply with OOL (Organization, Order, and Cleanliness) procedures.
07: Contribute to the investigation of Incidents and Accidents in their area of responsibility and inform their superior of detected incidents or risk situations.
08: Complete Risk Correction Cards (TCR), as an essential tool for daily safety improvement.
09: Comply with the Safety Manual procedures
10: Contribute to the creation of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Lead improvement activities of the Mini-company, to achieve the fixed objectives of the management plan and within the budget, in accordance with what is established in the operating framework of the Mini-company.

01: Design and encourage the submission of Improvement Suggestions (SM) and innovation within their team.
02: Contribute to the analysis of acute or chronic problems using Continuous Improvement tools: SCRAS (Symptom-Cause-Remedy-Action) and A3, and be part of work teams to resolve them.
03: Comply with the implementation of improvement actions derived from customer-supplier letters, for their standardization,
04: Contribute to the improvement of the state of their workstation (propose improvements, etc.), implementing improvement actions and their standardization

SUPERVISE BILLET PRODUCTION

Supervise the daily production of the Steel Mill, analyzing its utility or rejecting it, to ensure the quality and quantity of the manufactured billet.

01: Measure diamond in hot and cold conditions.
02: Measure the length of the bars.
03: Correctly identify all billets.
04: Control that there are no more than 3 short bars per heat (or 1 short bar for every 17 bars).
05: Verify that there are no bent bars.
06: Verify that the bars at the beginning and end of the sequence are properly cleaned or, directly, clean them.
07: Visually inspect all bars to detect defects (seam, cracks, pores, depressions, burrs, mechanical marks, splashes,...) according to the control plan.
08: Control level 2 to know if any bar must be rejected or held.
09: Inform and take appropriate actions, depending on the incident created and following the control plan (PFA Co Co-01). Apply the Control Plan.
