You will lead technical and regulatory engagement at the national, European, and international level on feedstocks suitable for the production of renewable fuels and sustainable products. Your core mission will be to ensure compliance with the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and associated legislation, managing feedstock certifications end-to-end and ensuring the integrity of the entire supply chain.
In addition to your regulatory work, you will bring your technical vision to the development of new business models based on waste, intermediate crops, by-products, and low-carbon-footprint materials, actively contributing to building a coherent corporate positioning with significant impact for the company.
Actions involving institutional representation (before government bodies, industry associations, sector forums, or specialized media) must be carried out under the coordination and responsibility of the Corporate Affairs Directorate (which sets the strategic framework, defines corporate messages, and determines the spaces for external representation). You will be part of the company's network of institutional interlocutors and will actively contribute to building a coherent and impactful corporate positioning, ensuring that the strongest arguments reach the spaces where they can generate the most value.
Analyze and monitor national and international regulatory developments on feedstocks derived from waste and intermediate crops, representing the company in associations and technical working groups.
Lead and manage audits, renewals, and verifications under recognized sustainability schemes, such as ISCC and RSB.
Ensure full traceability of supply chains based on waste (UCO, agricultural, industrial) and intermediate crops, evaluating all documentation demonstrating their origin and status.
Manage and operate European platforms and country-specific databases (Nabisy, Carbure) for the registration and traceability of feedstocks derived from waste and intermediate crops.
Analyze the regulatory and certification feasibility of new supply chains, providing support to R&D projects for advanced renewable fuels and biomethane.
Provide strategic advice on contract drafting, supplier assessments, and due diligence, ensuring compliance with corporate sustainability clauses.
Develop internal procedures and train the various teams on mandatory certification and traceability requirements.
Education: University degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in sustainable certification, biofuels, circular economy, or waste management.
Demonstrable command of certification schemes (ISCC, RSB), proficiency with traceability platforms (Nabisy, Carbure, traces), and solid experience with feedstocks derived from waste and intermediate crops.
Excellent understanding of RED criteria
Strong analytical skills
Professional level of English.
Availability for frequent travel and the possibility of residing in Brussels.
You have experience in advocacy or participation in regulatory working groups, as well as postgraduate education or specialized courses in renewable energy and sustainability.
