About the role

Act as the corporate technical reference for the group's Plant Engineers, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in engineering projects executed locally at each plant. Directly lead relevant capital investment projects to support Central Engineering, and provide functional supervision, technical support, and management oversight for the remaining plant projects.

What you'll do

  • Functionally supervise the technical activity of the Plant Engineers.
  • Carry out regular follow-up of the project portfolio that each Plant Engineer manages autonomously, ensuring visibility and corporate control.
  • Prepare and manage the budget (CAPEX), project planning, and investments, monitoring execution through to project closure.
  • Lead relevant capital investment projects at the plants, reducing the workload of Central Engineering projects.
  • Define, disseminate, and keep updated the engineering work standards for the plants: design criteria, equipment specifications, project management methodologies, templates, procedures, and group engineering best practices.
  • Audit the execution of projects and maintenance plans at the plants, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
  • Promote the replication of validated technical solutions across plants, avoiding duplication of effort and divergence in approaches.
  • Provide technical mentoring to Plant Engineers, especially junior profiles, and contribute to their professional development and training.
  • Report to the Industrial Director and the Central Engineering Director on the consolidated status of plant projects, alerting them to risks, budget/schedule deviations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Define, together with the plant and the involved departments (Production, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, R&D, IT), the specifications and requirements for each project.
