Requirements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in wholesale banking / Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) environments, clearly indicating in the CV the domains, business areas, products, and platforms you have worked in
- Essential experience in Global Markets
- Demonstrable experience in technological architecture, transformation, or Enterprise Architecture within CIB or wholesale banking environments
- Experience defining reference architectures, target architectures, or transition states in complex environments
- Experience in at least one of these areas: application landscape rationalization, platform consolidation, or technological modernization
- Ability to perform current-to-target assessments and understand their implications for applications, data, integration, cloud, resilience, and cybersecurity
Nice to have
- Solid knowledge of a core CIB domain or a transversal platform
- Experience leading global or cross-domain transformation initiatives
- Experience evaluating buy / build / reuse alternatives, market solutions, and TCO
- Experience working with large application portfolios and preparing materials for decision-making
Education & certifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; an MBA or a postgraduate degree in finance or technology management will be valued
Languages
- Minimum B2 English (C1 desirable), to present recommendations, lead meetings, and work with global teams

What are we looking for?
At Experis, we are looking for two Enterprise Architects (M/F/X) with deep knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) for a leading client in the financial sector. They will work in parallel across different capability domains, defining reference and target architectures, and providing recommendations ready for decision-making. This is a hands-on architecture role, in a hybrid modality with presence in Madrid offices some days per week.
Profile we need:
What you'll do
- Define reference architectures for priority CIB capabilities: capability decomposition, target building blocks, architecture principles, data and integration patterns, and transition implications
- Challenge CIOs, domain technology leads, and senior business stakeholders regarding current architectures, legacy constraints, platform strategies, and investment assumptions, driving evidence-based target decisions
- Map the current application and platform landscape against the target architecture, identifying duplication, fragmentation, obsolescence, dependencies, risks, and consolidation opportunities
- Translate architecture decisions into application-level implications (adopt, consolidate, migrate, invest selectively, contain, or retire), including their dependencies and transition sequence
- Evaluate market solutions and vendors in buy / build / reuse decisions: maturity, adoption in comparable CIB entities, integration fit, lock-in, and TCO
- Prepare and lead architecture decision forums and domain-specific working groups, presenting options, trade-offs, recommendations, and open dependencies
- Address EUCs and local AI solutions within the target architecture, defining classification, minimum controls, ownership, and transition paths
- Convert architecture decisions into fundable initiatives, with preliminary business cases, expected benefits, complexity, risks, and input for investment cycles
How you'll work
- Residency in Madrid or surrounding areas, with the possibility of coming to the office several days per week
- Availability to travel occasionally
