Maintenance Manager

🎓 Degree in Technical / Higher Industrial Engineering. Vocational Training I/II and/or Intermediate/Advanced Training Cycle in Electricity and Electronics, Installation and Maintenance, and/or Energy and Water. A Maintenance Management Certificate (CMMI) is valued. Training in DDD.

💼 Minimum of 4 years of proven professional experience in the role of Maintenance Manager, in the hotel sector, commercial building, and/or residential building.

🗣💬 English: B1 level. Proficiency in other languages is valued.

🖥🖱 Proficiency in management and office software applications. Maintenance Management Software. Knowledge of current regulations and their application to hotels, REBT, RITE, Legionella, PRL, Gas.

🚗 Driver's license and own vehicle.

🔔 We are offering a position as Maintenance Manager to work at El Fuerte Marbella, the first hotel founded by the company. It opened its doors in 1957 and, after a complete renovation, reopened in 2023 as a 5-star hotel.

El Fuerte Marbella, located on the beachfront in the center of Marbella, offers stunning sea views along the promenade and the Mediterranean, and is just a 5-minute walk from Plaza de los Naranjos. With 266 rooms, it combines casual luxury and an exquisite welcoming atmosphere, without compromising on spectacular Mediterranean views.

The objective of the position is to coordinate corrective maintenance work and manage compliance with preventive and technical-legal maintenance according to the workplace maintenance plan, while meeting the annually assigned budget.

Your day-to-day will sound like this...

• Plan, execute, and fulfill maintenance services according to the conditions set out in the maintenance plan.
• Maintain the proper condition of the client's equipment, materials, systems, and facilities, carrying out the activities and services of the maintenance plan, as well as ensuring compliance and coordination of preventive, predictive maintenance, scheduled inspections, and legal maintenance.
• Keep maintenance records.
• Carry out facility inspections to identify and solve problems.
• Follow the guidelines set by the hotel management in the development of corrective actions and work order management.
• Supervise the staff under their charge in resolving incidents and act as necessary, as well as manage the available human resources by establishing shifts, vacations, leaves, and absences.
• Oversee expenses and control the maintenance budget.
• Oversee the inventory of spare parts and replacement equipment, and place orders when necessary.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption according to the guidelines of the Energy Department.
• Enforce and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and health regulations established by the organization.
• Evaluate and collaborate in the training and development of team members according to the methodology established by Human Resources, as well as participate in the measures defined for their development.
• Maintain and ensure respectful, orderly, and clean conduct throughout all areas of the facility.
• Perform any other duties assigned by their direct supervisor related to their position.
• Monitor waste segregation in municipal solid waste.
• Monitor the segregation of hazardous waste in accordance with current regulations.
• Compliance with the operational control regulations established by the organization.
