Refrigeration Technician

You have demonstrable experience as a Refrigeration Technician, ideally in hotel or industrial environments, backed by a technical certification or vocational training in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field. A solid knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning, and cooling equipment allows you to install, maintain, and repair systems efficiently and safely. You are an organized person, with technical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems effectively in a dynamic operational environment. An advanced level of English and a valid driver's license will be valued as an advantage.

Maintenance and Technical Support: Refrigeration Technician

Locations: Spain: Estepona, Mallorca

Duration: 7 months, between March and November

Working together, the team supports the daily operation of our resorts through preventive maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and a steadfast commitment to safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration, cooling, and air conditioning systems.

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment, cold rooms, and cooling units.

· Monitor system performance and ensure the efficient operation of all refrigeration-related equipment.

· Respond quickly to technical breakdowns and operational maintenance requests.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.

· Ensure all refrigeration systems operate in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

· Monitor refrigerant levels, temperatures, and system controls to maintain operational efficiency.

· Support energy-saving initiatives and optimize equipment performance.

· Identify potential technical risks and recommend corrective actions.

· Ensure the correct handling and storage of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.

· Execute scheduled preventive maintenance plans in accordance with resort standards.

· Perform periodic inspections of refrigeration and cooling systems throughout the resort.

· Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with technical standards and manufacturer guidelines.

· Support quality assurance initiatives related to engineering and maintenance operations.

· Help maintain operational continuity during high occupancy periods.

· Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Food & Beverage teams regarding technical support needs.

· Effectively communicate technical issues and maintenance updates to supervisors and operational departments.

· Support external contractors and suppliers during technical interventions when necessary.

· Participate in operational meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP standards, and safety procedures.

· Maintain cleanliness and order in engineering workshops and technical areas.

· Follow all resort operating standards and emergency procedures.

· Support sustainability and environmental initiatives within the Engineering Division.

· Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of refrigeration and cooling systems throughout the resort.

· Responsible for contributing to guest comfort, operational continuity, and compliance with technical safety standards.

· Ensure compliance with engineering procedures, safety standards, and preventive maintenance programs.

· Responsible for maintaining Ikos's operating and quality standards in technical maintenance operations.
