Good fullstack basics. We mostly work with Typescript, Node, React and Postgres (among others). We value the ability to learn quickly more than a specific tech stack.
Experience integrating LLMs into real-world products and using AI as a daily tool to develop and design solutions.
Product mindset. You start with the problem rather than the solution, measure impact, and know how to say no to things that don't add value. You pause to consider the problem before taking action. You create prototypes to validate hypotheses with the team. You ensure that all solutions are successfully implemented, used correctly, and genuinely solve the problem.
You are comfortable with ambiguity and work in short cycles: hypothesis, prototype, feedback, and starting over.
You know how to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and translate their needs into solutions. You know how to help them work with new technologies and our tools.
Teamwork and communication. We are fortunate that our users are just two desks away, so you need to take advantage of that every day to provide the most suitable solutions.
Proactive and autonomous. You ask "why," not just "how," and take initiative to make things better.
Passion for education, our mission, and a genuine desire to help others learn.
You enjoy maths, logic, and problem-solving - puzzles excite you, not scare you.
Fluent in Spanish and English (Catalan is a plus).
2-4 years of experience in fullstack engineering, or similar roles (ideally in SaaS or EdTech).
Experience taking products from a blank slate to reality and maintaining them, including everything that entails (design, development, infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.).
Experience in building internal products.
Understanding of software architecture concepts for the AI era.
Knowledge of business operations in the Edtech context.
A balance between technical accuracy and business vision - you're an engineer at heart but a strategist in spirit.
Our culture and values define who we are and how we work. We believe that how we do things is just as important as what we do. We know this is not the right place for everyone—and that is okay. Here is what you can expect when you join our team:
We aim high: We set ambitious goals and work with determination and passion to transform education. Here you can grow as much as you want, surrounded by people who push you, inspire you, and help you bring out your best.
We are owners: From day one, you will have real impact. We are not here just to execute, but to think, decide, and build. We trust you to take initiative, propose ideas, and see them become reality.
We move fast: We work in a dynamic environment where agility and adaptability make the difference. You will feel the pace, the energy, and the excitement of learning quickly, acting with good judgment, and making things happen.
We are eager to learn: We are curious, we question things, and we share what we learn. Every challenge is an opportunity to improve and keep growing, both individually and as a team.
We are humble: We foster a culture of trust and feedback where everyone has a voice. We listen actively, collaborate, and value ideas for their impact. Here you will find a team always ready to help, share, and celebrate achievements together.
We enjoy the ride: Our impact depends on the people who make it possible. That is why we take care of our culture with trust, flexibility, and well-being. We offer flexible hours, time off during Christmas week, and competitive compensation. And, of course, we love reconnecting at team-building events that remind us why we do what we do!
Your mission is to develop the best solutions for the team so we achieve more ambitious goals faster and with higher quality. To do this, you must deeply understand the editorial workflow, from lesson conception to delivering the product to schools.
Learn deeply about our educational products and internal creation workflows, becoming an expert in the product creation journey here at Innovamat.
Partner with multiple product teams (Learning, Linguistics, Illustration, Tech, etc.) to improve the speed and quality of our workflows and develop new approaches to current solutions.
Own and maintain internal tools that will be the base of product building, ensuring they solve real problems and are intuitive, performant and aligned with business priorities.
Enable and train colleagues to use internal tools effectively; we don't stop just at building, we ensure the solution is correct and that everyone can use it effectively.
Coordinate with the multiple Product teams to prioritize and push improvements to all our tools and workflows.
Proactively participate in technology decisions about our systems. Not just execute requests, but help shape what we should be building and how.
Build fullstack tools from scratch: logic, API, MCP, agentic workflows, web clients, CLI clients, agent plugins/skills, infra,...
Integrate what we build with our tools ecosystem, internal and external.
Present findings through presentations, memos, or workshops, and contribute to external communications when relevant.
Stay curious: follow AI and engineering practices, new methods, and the edtech landscape - always learning and bringing fresh ideas.
