🚀 How is data governed in an organization where Artificial Intelligence and AI agents are playing an increasingly prominent role?
At MAPFRE Spain, we are evolving our way of understanding Data Governance, incorporating new capabilities that allow us to guarantee the quality, traceability, security, and trust of data and models in an environment increasingly driven by AI.
We are looking for a Data & AI Strategy & Operations Expert - Data Governance to help us define that vision and convert it into a solid, scalable governance model prepared for the challenges ahead.
It is not just about establishing policies and controls.
It is about building a model capable of connecting data, business, technology, regulation, and Artificial Intelligence, and exploring how new capabilities, such as GenAI and AI agents, can help us evolve the way we govern and supervise data.
Define and lead the Data Governance strategy and operating model at a company level, establishing standards, policies, roles, and controls that ensure data quality, traceability, security, and compliance.
You will work transversally with Business, Technology, Security, Legal, and the Data & AI Office, driving the adoption and evolution of the model.
🔹 Define and safeguard the corporate Data Governance strategy, including Data Owner and Data Steward models, policies, processes, and governance bodies.
🔹 Establish standards for catalog, metadata, lineage, quality, MDM, privacy, and security, as well as data-associated SLAs/SLOs.
🔹 Lead the adoption of the governance model across different units and domains, defining maturity roadmaps, implementation criteria, and improvement plans.
🔹 Define and monitor executive KPIs for data quality, compliance, traceability, and value.
🔹 Drive governed self-service BI, working on semantic models, KPI dictionaries, consistency, and secure consumption policies.
🔹 Manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and data-associated risks, prioritizing controls and remediations.
🔹 Ensure compliance with frameworks such as GDPR and the AI Act, incorporating privacy by design and AI governance principles.
🔹 Define the Data Governance tooling strategy for catalog, lineage, quality, MDM, metadata, and data protection.
🔹 Support strategic initiatives in cloud, Data & AI, and GenAI, ensuring their alignment with governance policies and standards.
🔹 Explore how AI, LLMs, and intelligent agents can contribute to automating documentation and cataloging, detecting anomalies, and evolving the supervision and observability of the data and model ecosystem.
🔹 Lead data culture initiatives, coordinating training and communities of practice for Owners and Stewards.
🔹 Coordinate audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation plans.
Because the challenge is no longer solely about governing data.
It is about asking ourselves how Data Governance must evolve in an environment where data, AI models, and, increasingly, intelligent agents coexist.
How do we guarantee their quality and traceability?
How do we supervise new risks?
How do we make data and models reliable, understandable, and secure?
And how can we use AI itself to evolve governance?
We are looking for someone who wants to help us answer these questions and build a strategic capability that connects Data Governance, business, technology, and Artificial Intelligence.
If you have a solid track record in Data Governance and are motivated to explore how to take this discipline to its next level, we would love to meet you.
