BUDGET

  • Support the preparation of budgets for the assigned segment and/or assigned markets and sectors, as well as the preparation of the Business Plan for the hotels.

HOTEL BUSINESS PLAN

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage local accounts not assigned to Account Managers. Promote the hotels among them, as well as MHI global programs and tools such as MeliaPro Rewards, TravelLabs, etc.
  • Capture new Local accounts and commercial opportunities for the company. Coordinate with Sales Development for their assignment in cases where there is greater potential for other destinations/hotels.
  • Receive and manage requests from commercial clients (from their assigned segments, geographic areas, sectors) and provide a response (coordinate with the Account Manager in the case of an assigned account).
  • Prepare and complete RFPs for the assigned segment and negotiate directly with the client or through the account's Account Manager. Prepare the necessary Business Cases for the capture of new accounts.
  • Personally carry out the monitoring of accounts for each hotel and act as the intermediary for any possible account incidents, being ultimately responsible for the closure of the incident and for offering a solution to the client.
  • Detect new business opportunities in traditional markets across the different business segments and prospect accounts in new potential markets for the destination, either directly at the source or through incoming agencies or tourism organizations.
  • Negotiate agreements for each of the hotels, as well as their preparation, signing, and upload to the relevant internal platform. Additionally, communicate these and coordinate with the involved departments.

FAIRS, WORKSHOPS, ROADSHOWS, SALES MISSIONS, SALES ACTIONS

  • Attend assigned events and commercial actions organized by third parties or organized by MHI both nationally and internationally.

PREOPENINGS

  • Participate in the preparation and execution of the preopening Action Plan for new opening or rebranding hotels.
  • Develop a calendar of site inspections prior to the hotel opening, both for local accounts and in coordination with the Heads of Segments for Key and Strategic accounts.
  • Propose specific campaigns for the accounts under their responsibility and ensure their correct distribution.

COMMUNICATION

  • Participate actively in local professional organizations and forums related to the assigned segment.
  • Keep local companies and associations updated on news regarding the hotels in the area to increase their visibility.
  • Maintain a fluid commercial relationship with tourism organizations and key related professional organizations in their Commercial Zone (Convention Bureaux, Tourism Offices) by participating in those actions agreed upon jointly (fam trips, promotional trips, etc.).

DIGITALIZATION

  • Promote and participate in virtual commercial actions related to the hotels under their responsibility to reach a greater number of clients in a more efficient and dynamic way within the MeliaPro TravelLabs environment.

SITE INSPECTION

  • Coordinate and attend Fam Trips at the hotels in the area.
  • Plan and execute commercial inspection visits, of any kind or segment, that are to take place at the hotels under their responsibility.

SUSTAINABILITY

  • Give visibility to sustainable attributes in the client relationship (under the instructions of the marketing & brands department).
  • Ensure sustainability communication meets criteria of truthfulness, rigor, and coherence.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

  • Commercial knowledge and contacts in the various B2B, Corporate, TTOO, and MICE segments.
