Head of Jewellery & Watches - Auction House

An growing European company in the art and luxury sector is seeking a Head of Jewellery & Watches to lead a key department with full responsibility for team management, business performance and operations. This is a unique opportunity for an expert in jewellery, watches and auctions to drive a strategic and fast‑growing business unit.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Jewellery & Watches division, defining the strategy, managing the P&L and overseeing commercial, operational and team activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the department, including team management, operations and business results.
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, private consignors and key clients (prospection, pre‑sales, advisory, after-sales).
• Evaluating, authenticating, cataloguing and valuing gemstones, fine jewellery and watches.
• Monitoring market trends to identify opportunities and enhance client experience.
• Overseeing the preparation and execution of quarterly auctions (catalogue creation, marketing, etc.).
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for auctions, private sales, e-commerce and internal projects.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional in Jewellery & Watches:

• 5-7 years of experience in retail or auction environments within jewellery and/or watches.
• Strong commercial acumen and proven relationship‑building skills in international contexts.
• Gemology degree from a recognised certification institute.
• Knowledge of the art & luxury market, auction business and e-commerce.
• Highly organised, results-driven and autonomous.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; other European languages are a plus.
• Motivated, curious and eager to learn.
