The role

At Mur&Partners, we are offering a position as a Production Coordinator for a leading industrial company in the non-stick coatings sector.

The mission of the position will be to direct and guarantee the proper daily functioning of production, ensuring compliance with the objectives established by the Operations Management regarding service, quality, productivity, and costs. To this end, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing available resources, leading and coordinating Production teams, and promoting the continuous improvement of production processes.

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage weekly and daily production planning, prioritizing and sequencing manufacturing orders (MO) based on service, available capacity, materials, and existing constraints.
  • Validate the feasibility of the planning, monitor its compliance, and readjust it in the face of relevant changes, incidents, or workload variations.
  • Coordinate production needs with Logistics, Purchasing, Maintenance, Quality, and other involved areas to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the operation.
  • Define shift needs, reinforcements, and overtime within authorized criteria, optimizing human resources to guarantee the production plan and customer service.
  • Directly lead the Shift Coordinators and, through them, the Production teams, enhancing their autonomy, responsibility, versatility, and results orientation.
  • Organize vacations, coverage, and production reinforcements, ensuring an adequate assignment of people and tasks.
  • Evaluate team performance using the information provided by the Coordinators, detect training needs, and participate in the selection, training, and development of people.
  • Transmit company principles, values, and culture, maintaining close and effective communication with the teams.
  • Monitor compliance with planning, deadlines, workload, and the performance of production lines and processes.
  • Supervise the main operational indicators: productivity, availability, yield, quality, reworks, downtime, consumption, hours, and incidents recorded in the MOs.
  • Analyze completed MOs daily and deviations regarding standards for time, consumption, costs, productivity, quality, and reworks.
  • Analyze performance by line, shift, process, and MO typology, identifying recurring incidents, causes, and trends.
  • Periodically prepare and present Production monitoring to the Operations Management, escalating deviations that require structural decisions or extraordinary resources.
  • Define corrective actions derived from detected operational deviations and monitor them until closure, coordinating with the involved areas.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Management and the Continuous Improvement area on Lean projects, downtime reduction, process improvement, and productivity optimization.
  • Provide data, priorities, and operational needs to Continuous Improvement and participate actively in the implementation of agreed solutions.
  • Coordinate the operational implementation of new processes and standards, as well as the startup of new production lines, changes, and production innovations.
  • Ensure that production is executed according to the quality standards established in all phases of the process.
  • Plan and coordinate the creation of samples for customers, ensuring their correct execution and follow-up.
  • Coordinate and supervise the location of materials to optimize space, guaranteeing order and cleanliness in production and warehouse areas.
  • Maintain a constant orientation toward service, ensuring that production priorities are aligned with customer commitments.
  • Hold periodic meetings with the Shift Coordinators to monitor work, prioritize tasks, resolve incidents, and transmit operational information.
  • Guarantee compliance with the Group's procedures, rules, and policies applicable to Production.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with the Occupational Risk Prevention and compliance responsibilities corresponding to the position, looking after your own safety and health and that of the people affected by the production activity.
