About the role

Are you a prevention professional who thrives on real industrial challenges?

If you have experience in heavy manufacturing environments, you know that safety isn't managed from an office—it's managed on the shop floor. At Randstad, we are recruiting a Senior PRL Technician for a stable position at a major industrial plant in the Amurrio area.

We are looking for someone with character, technical expertise, and the ability to integrate into a consolidated team within a highly demanding production environment.

What you'll do

Integrated into the in-house Prevention Service, your main responsibilities will be:

Ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of the safety management system in accordance with ISO 45001.

Investigating workplace accidents and incidents using advanced methodologies, specifically root cause analysis.

Coordinating business activities (RCA) and managing contractors, overseeing regulatory compliance of external companies, especially during critical periods such as maintenance shutdowns and production stoppages.

Identifying training needs, designing, and delivering PRL training and awareness sessions tailored to operational staff and middle management.

Conducting specific risk assessments for the steelmaking environment and proposing corrective measures.

What we're looking for

Education: University degree complemented by an official Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention with all three specializations (Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience performing PRL technician duties in production plants.

Industry background: Essential experience in heavy industry (steel mills, foundries, heavy metallurgy, or similar high-complexity industrial environments).

Technical skills: Proficiency in ISO 45001, solid experience in contractor management for maintenance, and expertise in root cause analysis methodology.

Soft skills: Strong communication skills, assertiveness in training and interacting with plant personnel, autonomy, and resilience in demanding work environments.

What you'll get

Competitive compensation: Attractive salary package, negotiable based on experience and the value you bring.

Work-life balance measures: Flexible start and end times.

Social benefits: Meal allowance included in the compensation package.

Job stability: Direct permanent contract with a company in an essential sector and a top-tier industrial group.
