Occupational Risk Prevention Technician

If you have experience in heavy manufacturing environments, you know that safety is not managed only from an office, but on the plant floor. At Randstad, we are currently recruiting a Senior PRL Technician for a permanent position in a major industrial facility located in the Amurrio area.

We are looking for someone with character, technical expertise, and the ability to integrate into a consolidated team within a demanding production environment.

Integrated into the company's own Prevention Service, your main responsibilities will be:

Ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of the occupational health and safety management system in accordance with ISO 45001.

Conducting investigations into accidents and incidents on site using advanced methodologies, specifically root cause analysis (fault tree analysis).

Coordinating activities for external companies (CAE) and managing contractors, overseeing regulatory compliance of external firms, especially during critical periods of maintenance and technical shutdowns.

Identifying training needs, designing, and delivering training and awareness programs on occupational risk prevention tailored to operators and middle management.

Performing specific risk assessments for the steel plant environment and proposing corrective measures.

Education: A university degree accompanied by an official Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with all three specializations (Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology).

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience performing PRL technician duties in production plants.

Industry background: Essential experience in heavy industry (steel mills, foundries, heavy metalworking sector, or similar highly complex industrial environments).

Technical skills: Mastery of the ISO 45001 standard, proficiency in managing contractors, and expertise in root cause analysis (fault tree) methodology.

Soft skills: A person with strong communication skills, assertiveness for training and interacting with plant personnel, autonomy, and the ability to work under demanding conditions.
