Test preparation
Analyze test requirements, standards, and specifications (ECSS, MIL-STD-461, etc.).
Configure the Unit Under Test (UUT) under representative and worst-case conditions.
Prepare the test setup, including:
Antennas, masts, and turntables
LISN, current clamps
RF cabling and shielding configurations
Verify the availability and performance of the laboratory (anechoic chamber, noise level, grounding).
Test execution
Perform EMC tests, such as:
Radiated and conducted emissions
Radiated and conducted immunity/susceptibility
Operate RF instrumentation:
Spectrum analyzers / EMI receivers
Signal generators and RF amplifiers
Power meters and field probes
Monitor the test development, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety limits.
Detect anomalies in real time and apply corrective actions when necessary.
Promote the development of internal talent and team motivation during each shift.
Analysis and troubleshooting
Analyze measurement results and evaluate compliance margins.
Identify sources of electromagnetic interference.
Participate in diagnostic activities (couplings, grounding, cabling, radiation).
Propose mitigation solutions (filtering, shielding, EMC design).
Documentation and reporting
Prepare technical reports on EMC tests.
Document configurations, deviations, and results in a traceable manner.
Ensure proper management of data and test conditions.
Laboratory support
Perform periodic verifications and checks of measurement systems.
Participate in the maintenance of EMC equipment and installations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the laboratory and test automation.
Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in:
Electronics
Telecommunications
RF or related field
Experience in EMC/RF instrumentation.
Knowledge of EMC principles (couplings, shielding, grounding).
Ability to interpret standards and technical procedures.
Technical level of English.
