What you'll do

What you will do:

You will join the Digital Area of the Lab Services Unit, Electronic Equipment Platform, with a team made up of engineers and laboratory technicians.

After an initial adaptation period, you will be responsible for carrying out metrological and EMC tests, contributing process improvements, providing customer service in the laboratory, executing tests, and preparing technical documentation and records and result reports.

You will be able to participate as a technician in projects that include carrying out activities related to the tests described.

You will help plan and execute metrological and EMC tests on equipment under the MID and EMC directives.

You will contribute to ensuring compliance with the laboratory's accreditation requirements by keeping procedures, technical documentation, etc. up to date, and you will participate in internal and external audits related to the laboratory's activity and accreditations.

You will be trained to take on the technical responsibility for the laboratory's accreditations and to contribute to achieving new accreditations and extensions of the laboratory's scope.

You will interpret standards and specifications and generate test procedures and methodologies to create the necessary test environment to carry out the required tests in the laboratory, coordinate test plans, prepare rigorous technical reports, and deal directly with clients and accreditation bodies.

You will contribute to training and advising other laboratory technicians.

You will help identify new testing needs in the market and propose the creation of new services or extensions of the laboratory's scope to attract new clients.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with an electrical or electronics specialty, a degree in Telecommunications, or a similar electrical/electronics qualification.

Languages: Fluent reading, comprehension, and conversation skills in English. Minimum level B2.

Work experience and knowledge in complying with and maintaining the requirements of accredited laboratories in accordance with ISO 17025, regarding processes and good practices, quality assurance activities, control of laboratory equipment, internal and external audits, regulatory studies, traceability, and test documentation, etc.

In-depth technical knowledge of the European MID directive and the regulations applicable to electricity meters (EN IEC 62052-11, -21, EN IEC 62053-21, -23, etc.).

Experience in performing metrological tests on electricity meters in accordance with the requirements of the MID directive.

Technical knowledge of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility directive and EMC standards (CISPR 11, 14, 16, 32, EN 61000-3-X, EN 61000-4-X, etc.).

Experience in performing EMC tests on electronic equipment and electricity meters.

Technical knowledge of PRIME and BPL communication technologies (EN 50065-1; -7; -2-3, etc.).

Experience in using laboratory instrumentation (power supplies, EMI receivers, signal generators, EMC equipment, oscilloscopes, PSUs, MTE power supplies, OMICRON, ZERA, etc.).
