In this context, regulatory compliance is a priority focus for the Electronic Equipment laboratory of the Digital Lab Services area of TECNALIA.

Therefore, we are looking for a technically proficient engineer who wishes to develop their career in the field of electronic equipment testing. The ideal candidate will contribute to guaranteeing product conformity through the expert execution of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and metrological testing under the MID directive in accordance with the quality system (ISO 17025/ENAC).

• You will join the Digital Area of the Lab Services Unit, Electronic Equipment Platform with a team of people composed of engineers and laboratory technicians.
• After an initial adaptation period, you will be responsible for performing metrological and EMC testing, contributing to process improvements, customer service in the laboratory, execution of tests, and the preparation of technical documentation, records, and result reports.
• You may participate as a technician in projects involving activities related to the described testing.
• You will help to plan and execute metrological and EMC testing of equipment under the MID and EMC directives.
• You will contribute to ensuring compliance with the laboratory accreditation requirements by keeping procedures and technical documentation updated... and you will participate in internal and external audits related to the laboratory's activities and accreditations.
• You will be trained to assume technical responsibility for laboratory accreditations and to contribute to the achievement of new accreditations and extensions of the laboratory's scope.
• You will interpret standards and specifications and carry out the generation of testing procedures and methodologies to create the testing environment necessary to perform the required tests in the laboratory, coordinate test plans, prepare rigorous technical reports, and deal directly with customers and accreditation bodies.
• You will contribute to training and advising other laboratory technicians.
• You will help identify new testing needs in the market and propose the creation of new services or extensions of the laboratory's scope to attract new customers.

• Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering, specializing in electrical or electronics, Degree in Telecommunications or similar electrical-electronic degree.
• Languages: Ability to read, understand and converse fluently in English. Minimum level B2.
• Work experience and knowledge in the compliance and maintenance of accredited laboratory requirements according to ISO17025 regarding processes and good practices, quality assurance activities, laboratory equipment control, internal and external audits, regulatory studies, traceability, and testing documentation...).
• Deep technical knowledge of the European MID directive and regulations applicable to electricity meters (EN IEC 62052-11, -21, EN IEC 62053-21, -23...).
• Experience in performing metrological testing on electricity meters in accordance with the requirements of the MID directive.
• Technical knowledge of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility regulations. (CISPR 11, 14, 16, 32, EN 61000-3-X, EN 61000-4-X...)
• Experience in performing EMC testing on electronic equipment and electricity meters.
• Technical knowledge of PRIME and BPL communication technologies (EN50065-1; -7; -2-3...)
• Experience in the use of laboratory instrumentation (power supplies, EMI receivers, signal generators, EMC equipment, oscilloscopes, PSU, MTE power supplies, OMICRON, ZERA...).
• Ability for organized and efficient work, as well as empathy and assertiveness in relationships and communications with customers, organizations, entities, and the work team.
