What you'll do

🛠️ Main Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external calibrations of pressure, temperature, flow, mass, volume, force, electrical, humidity instruments, among others.

  • Execute metrological verifications and adjustments according to standardized procedures.

  • Issue calibration certificates following the formats required by the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

  • Maintain the plant's metrological inventory and preventive calibration plans.

  • Manage equipment in the laboratory and/or on-site (production line, client facilities).

  • Record results in digital systems (CMMS, SAP PM, GMAO, LIMS).

  • Ensure compliance with current metrological and quality regulations.

  • Collaborate in internal/external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP, etc.).

  • Detect deviations and propose corrective actions.

  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in the calibration laboratory.

  • Provide technical advice on instrument selection, uncertainty, and traceability.

Education & certifications

  • Vocational Training (FP) Intermediate or Advanced Degree in:

    • Industrial Maintenance

    • Mechatronics

    • Automation and Robotics

    • Electrical/Electronic Engineering

    • Metrology Laboratory

  • A degree or technical engineering qualification is valued (Industrial, Chemical, Electronic).

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in industrial calibration or a metrology laboratory.

  • Valuable experience in regulated sectors (pharmaceutical, food, aerospace, automotive).

Technical Knowledge

  • Handling of standards and reference standards.

  • Uncertainty calculation (UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025).

  • Metrological traceability to ENAC / designated institutes.

  • Interpretation of equipment certificates and technical data sheets.

  • Use of CMMS/GMAO tools.

  • Regulations on potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX), if applicable.
