Low TRLs and Scouting Partner

• STEM education: Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Between 3 and 4 years of experience in technological monitoring, scouting, R&D, technology transfer, or research project management in technology centers, universities, or corporate environments.
• High level of English (C1).
• Knowledge of technological readiness levels (TRL) and methodologies for evaluating emerging technologies in early stages.
• Technological skills: proficiency in technological monitoring sources and tools and patent analysis (Espacenet, Orbit, Scopus, Web of Science, Lens, or similar) and entrepreneurship ecosystem databases (Crunchbase, Dealroom, or similar); bibliometric analysis and data processing (advanced Excel, Python, or R); use of generative AI tools for the review and synthesis of scientific and technical literature.
• Knowledge of the state of the art in technologies relevant to Redeia: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, IoT and Industry X.0, sensors and new materials, energy storage, quantum computing, and the digitalization of electricity and telecommunications networks.
• Knowledge of the R&D&i ecosystem (universities, technology centers, TTOs) and public innovation funding programs (Horizon Europe, CDTI, and similar).
• Solid analytical capacity and technical-scientific rigor.
• Communicates effectively, translating complex technical concepts into business language.
• Technological curiosity and capacity for continuous learning.
• Autonomous in management and oriented towards results and problem-solving.
• Proactive in relationships with Redeia's areas, universities, technology centers, and start-ups.
• Organized and with the ability to anticipate.
• Great capacity for teamwork and collaboration.

• We value holding a PhD in a related technological field, as well as research experience and associated scientific publications.
• Desirable knowledge of the electricity and telecommunications sectors.

As Scouting and low TRLs Partner, you will be part of a team whose mission is to manage and lead those innovation support and technological development functions necessary to facilitate the fulfillment of strategic objectives and decision-making in this field.

1. Identify emerging technologies and innovative solutions at low TRLs, as well as entities (start-ups, technology centers, universities, or others) that carry out their activity within this framework.

2. Analyze technological trends, use cases, and the maturity state of technologies relevant to Redeia.

3. Execute technological scouting activities through the preparation of fact sheets, analysis and documentation of opportunities, as well as any other deliverable.

4. Evaluate technologies and solutions with potential impact on innovation projects.

5. Prepare support documentation for low TRL innovation initiatives.

6. Coordinate the organization and execution of meetings, workshops, and technological exploration activities.

7. Monitor exploratory initiatives, collecting technical and progress information.

8. Collaborate with partners, start-ups, and ecosystem agents in technological exploration activities.
