Purchasing Technician

We are looking for a competent and versatile Purchasing Technician, specialized in the field of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), to join a state-of-the-art technology infrastructure construction project. The selected candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of procurement of materials, equipment and services related to these three disciplines, ensuring operational efficiency, quality and strict compliance with project deadlines and budgets. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the complete purchasing cycle for all items related to MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, medium and low voltage electrical systems, cabling, lighting, generators, etc.).
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors specialized in the areas of mechanics, electricity, and plumbing, negotiating the best terms in terms of price, quality, delivery times, and after-sales service.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and order tracking, ensuring strict compliance with the technical specifications provided by the engineering team.
• Maintain fluid and constant communication with the technical engineering and technical office teams of each discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to understand their detailed needs and specifications.
• Efficiently resolve issues with suppliers (delays, quality non-conformities, documentation discrepancies), seeking quick solutions and minimizing the impact on project scheduling.
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier database management to optimize the supply chain and explore innovative and efficient alternatives.
• Ensure all purchases comply with internal company policies, applicable regulations, and specific client requirements.
• Prepare periodic reports on the status of purchases, supplier management, and budget control for the department manager.

• Higher National Certificate (HNC/HND) or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar with a specialization in building services).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical purchasing or procurement positions, managing MEP materials and services in large-scale industrial construction projects, infrastructure (especially Data Centers), or unique buildings.
• Solid technical knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, fluids, fire protection), electrical systems (MV/LV, generation, UPS), and plumbing.
• Proven negotiation skills and excellent ability to manage and develop strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Proficiency in office software (especially Excel for analysis) and demonstrable experience with ERP purchasing management systems.
• Proactivity, results orientation, ability to work independently and with strong organizational skills, as well as excellent communication skills.
