What we're looking for

Degree in Civil Engineering or Canal and Port Engineering.
Experience in the design and drafting of civil works projects, preferably roads and/or railways.
Proficiency in design and technical production tools, such as AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Ability to work with autonomy, make technical decisions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Organizational capacity and orientation towards project quality.

Nice to have

Specific experience in linear works projects, especially roads and railways.
Knowledge of surface and underground drainage, alignment, earthworks, and affected utilities.
Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Presto, or other design, measurement, and budgeting tools.
Experience in BIM modeling applied to infrastructure.
Experience in technical supervision and coordination of project teams.

The role

At SOCOTEC Spain, we are looking to hire a Civil or Civil Engineering professional for our Civil Works Projects Department in Madrid.

We are looking for a profile with experience in the design and drafting of linear works projects, especially roads and railways, who can assume technical responsibilities with autonomy and participate in the coordination of the various disciplines involved.

The selected person will participate in the development of infrastructure projects, from the design of technical solutions to the preparation of the documentation necessary for their execution, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to ensuring the technical quality of the projects.

What you'll do

Develop and coordinate linear works projects, mainly roads and railways.
Design technical solutions related to alignment, surface and underground drainage, earthworks, and affected utilities.
Prepare the technical documentation for projects, including reports, annexes, specifications, measurements, and budgets.
Technically supervise the work carried out by other team members.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as geotechnics, structures, environment, and BIM.
Collaborate in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of projects.
Ensure the technical consistency of the design solutions and the generated documentation.
