Education and experience

10–15 years in Software Engineering within high-tech, scalable environments with real products.
Deep experience building complex, scalable, microservices-based systems.
Extremely technical profile, with a demonstrated ability to lead from the code.
Previous experience leading teams and being a technical benchmark (Staff, Principal, Distinguished, etc.).
Knowledge of or interest in healthtech, applied AI, sensorization, data, and digital products.
Fluent Spanish and English.

Key technical skills

Complex architectures, scalability, advanced patterns, and distributed systems.
Hands-on development (open stack, technical mastery is prioritized over a specific language).
Focus on AI and new technologies to solve real problems.

The role

Do you want to build technology that transforms the lives of millions of older people in Europe?

We are looking for a hands-on CTO, an extremely technical and product-oriented profile, to join as a traveling partner to the CPTO in a leading company within the healthtech sector.

The company is in the midst of a scaling phase following its Series B and has a clear mission: to redefine healthcare and social care, increasing the quality of life for seniors and allowing the system to act preventively and in a coordinated manner.

With a senior team, enormous traction, and projects of real impact, this role will be key to turning the company into the European benchmark of the sector.

2️⃣ Job Mission

What you'll do

Your role will be to code, lead, and build technology, not to manage from a distance. Here, the CTO is an elite engineer, someone who gets their hands into the code, creates architecture, and raises the technical level of the team day after day.

Main responsibilities

Lead the technological evolution of the 3 major strategic products:
Prevention of neurodegenerative diseases → creating the “Duolingo of healthy habits.”
Integrated Care Platform → software and sensorization to keep seniors at home and out of the hospital.
Digitalized home assistance → building tools for premium and scalable care.
Build scalable, modern, and AI-oriented architecture, applying cutting-edge technology to real problems.
Program daily, actively participate in critical technical decisions, and review high-impact code.
Accompany, inspire, and elevate the engineering team (23 engineers, 3 Squad Leads).
Work side by side with the CPTO to define vision, culture, and technical standards.
Ensure the team follows the fundamental principles: hard, smart and long, focus on outcomes, cutting-edge, career acceleration, and good vibes.
Be a technical benchmark from whom the team wants to learn.
