Configuration Management Internship

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree student in Engineering (preferably Industrial), with the possibility of signing an agreement with the university.
• High level of English, both spoken and written.
• Meticulous, organized person with analytical skills and a willingness to learn in a highly specialized technical environment.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, macros) will be valued.

You will join the Configuration Management area of Talgo, a key department in complex railway projects, where work is carried out to maintain product consistency and traceability throughout its entire life cycle.

You will be part of a technical team that acts as the "map" of the train, ensuring that all parts, systems, versions, and changes are correctly identified, documented, and controlled from design to maintenance.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with different engineering and manufacturing areas, learning and developing functions such as:

• Ensuring product consistency throughout its life cycle, identifying train configuration, and tracking changes.
• Designing and maintaining the variability tree and project structure, ensuring a clear and organized view of all components.
• Identifying key configuration items, defining traceability requirements for efficient management aligned with project objectives.
• Providing support in proactive configuration and baseline management, adapting control to each project phase and its validation strategy.
• Participating in strategic obsolescence management, applying proactive and reactive approaches to minimize risks and ensure operational continuity.
