The role
Do you work in a public library, archive, or museum, or are you preparing for these competitive exams? Collaborate remotely with Polaris x Ucademy and help others secure their positions.
📚 We are looking for tutors for Library, Archive, and Museum competitive exams
We want to build a faculty of specialized tutors in Libraries, Archives, and Museums, in which each professional contributes their expertise in their field and at their level.
You do not need to master all categories. You can specialize in Libraries, Archives, or Museums, and in one or several levels: Assistant, Aide, or Specialist/Curator.
What you'll do
Depending on your field, your level, and your availability, you will be able to participate in one or several projects:
Online classes on the technical syllabus and the specific syllabus of each administration.
Practical cases: designing them, solving them, and grading those of the students.
Legislation regarding heritage, libraries, archives, and museums, at both state and autonomous levels.
Multiple-choice questions and mock exams in the real format.
Preparation of oral or written development tests, at the higher levels.
Student follow-up: resolving doubts and helping them progress.
Syllabi, outlines, summaries, and short videos.
How you'll work
This is not a full-time or part-time job. You will collaborate with Polaris x Ucademy through the provision of services in specific educational projects, compatible with your professional activity.
If you have a permanent position, we do not ask you to leave your job. We want you to put your experience at the service of other candidates in a flexible way.

🏛️ One single profession, many calls
These competitive exams are called by very different administrations, and each has its own designation, its own syllabus, and its own way of examining. We are looking for tutors who know the selection processes of:
General State Administration / Ministry of Culture
Autonomous Communities
City Councils and other local entities
Provincial Councils
Public Universities
Other public bodies
In autonomous, local, and university calls, the regulations and systems of each territory or institution make the difference. That is why we want to count on tutors from all autonomous communities.
🔎 Who we are looking for
Professionals with a position (civil servants or permanent staff, active or on leave) in public libraries, archives, or museums.
Tutors with experience in these competitive exams.
People capable of working both sides of the competitive exam:
the technical content of the profession (library science, archival science, museology, collection management, standardization...),
and the legislation and specific content of the calling administration, including autonomous regulations where applicable.
Those who master practical tests: cataloging and classification, archival description, documentation of museum collections...
Those who know how to teach and mentor: explaining clearly, providing useful feedback, and helping to sustain the preparation process.
Fluency with digital tools. If you already use AI in your daily life, even better.
Hiring process
We want to get to know you by teaching, not just by reading your CV. The process has three steps:
1. Profile review. In the application, you will answer some brief questions and send us a 1-minute introductory video. Record it with your phone, no complications: tell us who you are, your field (libraries, archives, or museums), your level, which autonomous community you work in, and which administrations you are familiar with.
2. Validation contact. If your profile fits, we will contact you by call or in writing to resolve doubts, learn about your availability, and explain how we collaborate.
3. Trial class and interview. You will schedule your interview and, before the date, you will send us a recorded class of maximum 5 minutes: the explanation of a piece of syllabus content or the resolution of a practical case (for example, a cataloging or archival description exercise), using supporting material created by you. We are not looking for perfect production: we want to see how you explain and how you make the difficult simple.
If you know the path to a position in libraries, archives, or museums and want to help others walk it, we want to meet you.
